Xavier Landscapes and Designs was founded when Owner and Chief Operator, Will DeMarco, was just 14. After saving up enough money to purchase a wagon from Home Depot, he went door to door and circulated flyers amongst his neighbors in Glen Mills, PA. Once he gained a few customers, he towed his loaded wagon throughout the neighborhood on his bicycle. Since then, his reputation as well as his business grew. Knowing he spent summers in the Poconos, he decided to start advertising his business through word of mouth. Eventually his little red wagon was replaced by a jeep and a trailer and then as his business grew so did his vehicles and equipment. Xavier Landscapes (named after Will’s middle name) was founded by a boy who dreamed of one day becoming a top competitor in the landscaping industry.
Will graduated in 2019 from Penn College of Technology with an Associate of Applied Science Degree from the Landscape/Horticulture College with a Landscape Emphasis. He spent the summer of 2018 interning with the head of Landscaping at Lake Naomi Club all the while continuing to build his private business. While at Penn College in 2019, Will competed in the National Collegiate Landscaping Competition in Fort Collins, Colorado where he tied for 4th amongst over 30 competitors in the hardscaping competition. Will served as Vice President of the Horticulture club for 2 years and was a Dean’s List student throughout his college years. His goal is 100% customer satisfaction.
